Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders through the use of manual adjustments to the spine and other joints. At ProActive Health, we use a variety of techniques to adjust the spine and joints, each with its own set of benefits and indications.
In this article, we will discuss the top three types of chiropractic adjustments and how they can help improve your overall health and well-being.
Diversified Technique
The Diversified Technique is one of the most commonly used methods of chiropractic adjustments. This technique involves the use of high-velocity, low-amplitude thrusts to adjust the spine and joints. The chiropractor uses their hands to apply quick, precise force to the affected area, which helps to realign the vertebrae and reduce muscle spasms. This technique is commonly used to treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and extremity pain.
Arthrostim Technique
The Arthrostim Technique is a gentle form of chiropractic adjustments that utilizes a small, handheld device called an Arthrostim. The Arthrostim delivers a low-force impulse to the affected area, which helps to restore proper movement and alignment to the joint. This technique is ideal for patients who are sensitive to traditional manual adjustments or for those who have conditions that require a more delicate touch.
Thompson Drop Table Technique
The Thompson Drop Table Technique is a specialized form of chiropractic adjustments that utilizes a special table called a Thompson Drop Table. The table has small drops built into it that help to cushion the adjustment and reduce the force needed to realign the joint. This technique is particularly useful for patients with chronic conditions or for those who need a more gradual approach to adjustments.
Chiropractic adjustments are a powerful tool for improving your overall health and well-being. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain or just looking for a way to improve your overall health, a chiropractor can help you achieve your goals. The Diversified, Arthrostim and Thompson techniques are the most common techniques used by chiropractors and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions.
